2019 Election Results

On November 5, 2019, voters in Chester County sent a message that the BLUE WAVE is alive and well. The County’s Democratic candidates sweep all races.

It was the hard work of our Committee People, our hundreds of dedicated volunteers and our great candidates that turned the page on years of Republican control of the County and local control.

Our OJR School Board will have Democratic majority representation, providing the voters in our Zone with civility, accountability, transparency and stability.

Final returns show solid wins to both Josh Maxwell of Downingtown and Marian Moskowitz of Phoenixville for the three-member Board of Commissioners, the chief governing body of Chester County.

Deb Ryan and Fredda Maddox made history as the first Democratic women to be elected District Attorney and Sheriff. Debbie Bookman as Prothonotary, Chris Pielli as Recorder of Deeds and Michele Vaughn as Register of Wills complete the sweep of Chester County row offices for the Democrats.

Analisa Sondergaard and Bret Binder move from their Magisterial District Judge seats to the Court of Common Pleas.
